Nintendo has apparently provided a fresh new timeline for The Legend of Zelda series, one that famously splits off into three different branches after Ocarina of Time. We now have an idea of where the most recent entries–Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom–fit into the franchise’s chronology. Spoilers: They don’t, instead being placed into their own little timeline.Vooks spotted the new Legend of Zelda timeline at Nintendo Live over this past weekend in Sydney, Australia. Lego’s Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 building kit launched this weekend, marking the first collaboration between the brick-building giant and The Legend of Zelda. The 2,500-piece kit pays homage to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the N64 classic Ocarina of Time. It’s a Lego Store exclusive at the moment, so if you’re interested in picking it up, you may want to order soon. It’s not uncommon for exclusives to switch from “available now” to “backordered” at launch. If that happens, typically you have to wait for 60 days until your order ships. Orders placed now ship for free with a three- to five-day standard shipping delivery window.

Sea of Thieves fans who want to spend time in Rare’s world of pirates, buried treasure, and high-sea hijinks can do just that with the latest official graphic novel published by Titan Comics. Sea of Thieves: Sea Dog’s Search released today, September 3, and is available for $14 (was $15) at Amazon. Sea Dog’s Search joins a varied lineup of books based on the hit game, including three other graphic novels as well as a pair of traditional novels.

Five years ago, Remedy Entertainment made a splash with Control, but the developer had to go through 505 Games to publish the game. Now, Remedy has struck a deal with Annapurna that will not only bring Control 2 to fruition, but it may also lead to films and TV shows based on the games and Remedy’s other signature title, Alan Wake.As announced on Remedy’s official site, the company’s new pact with Annapurna will allow it to co-finance and self-publish Control 2. Band of Crusaders feels like a game I’m going to have to give a second chance to–the preview build doesn’t feature any of the story elements, and I really only enjoy strategy RPGs that feature long-form, intriguing stories that make the dozens, if not hundreds, of hours I spend playing them worth it. Ubisoft is apparently using the Force to make some PS5 players of Star Wars Outlaws restart their adventures in a galaxy far, far away. A new patch for the game–which is only available early for Gold and Ultimate Edition owners–requires people to begin again unless they want to encounter “issues and progression blockers.”According to IGN, there are Star Wars Outlaws players on PS5 receiving a message about patch 1.000.002 that discusses their save file for the game. Valve has published a store page for Deadlock, finally bringing some official word on its new game, which has been in semi-private testing for months.Deadlock is a 6v6 MOBA hero shooter that is still in “early development,” according to the store page. The game combines third-person gunplay with attacking enemy objectives, destroying defenses, and purchasing upgrades while leading minions across four lanes.Since the store page went live, it appears there has been an influx of invitations distributed, as peak concurrent player figures have risen from around 25,000 to over 75,000.Despite the absence of an announcement, people have been streaming the game, and Deadlock’s existence was an open secret.Deadlock now has an official store page with a small teaser trailer, and you can wishlist the …

The entire first season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was shrouded in mystery until days before the series premiere, but no aspect of the show was kept more vague than Daniel Weyman’s character dubbed The Stranger.
