Funko Pops are making the move from your collectible shelf to your gaming console, as the collectibles brand is launching a wild new game–Funko Fusion–on September 13. The quirky action game will feature 60 playable characters from over 20 popular franchises like Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Thing, and more. In conjunction with the new game, Funko is also launching a new Funko Fusion figures lineup that can be scanned into the game to unlock additional in-game content. That makes them function a bit like Nintendo’s amiibo figures–though we’re hoping they don’t sell out as fast.Funko Fusion arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC on September 13, and the first of the new figures drop a week later on September 18, followed by additional characters throughout the rest of the year. You can preorder the game and the new collectibles now, and buying early gets you a few bonus in-game items.
Funko Fusion Preorder Bonuses
Preorder Funko Fusion to unlock The Walking Dead Pack. This gets you two additional playable characters (Rick Grimes and Michonne) plus two bonus outfits for the characters. That’s not a bad offer, especially if you know you’ll be playing at launch. If you preorder at Best Buy, you’ll also get the Chucky (Eddie Variant) and Klaus (Eddie Variant) costumes.
Funko Fusion Collectibles
$12 – $20
The new Funko Fusion collectibles are also available for preorder. These look like your traditional Funko Pops, but they can be scanned into your Funko Fusion game to unlock additional in-game goodies. Here’s a look at what’s on the horizon. Note that resellers are already scooping these up and offering them at Walmart for inflated prices, so be sure to check them out before they disappear.
